This is one of my spontaneous paintings, where I just dive in without a solid plan or composition in mind ahead of time.  When I do this, I just start putting down color, take a step back to assess where it's going, and let it lead me.

When I set out to paint this one, I did have one specific idea in mind.  I'd decided to so something resembling a stained glass pattern, just to see what came out of it.  I started with a sky, which took on a floral pattern, so I ran with it.
